Wristlet Pattern (Free)

Gauge:
chain of 5 is about 2cm long
Materials:
All yarn threads are assumed to be of the same thickness.
White yarn
Purple yarn
Button
Abbreviations:
sc - single crochet
sc inc - single crochet increase
sc dec - single crochet decrease
dc - double crochet
ch - chain
ss - slip stitch
Special Stitch:
Crossed double crochet (cdc)
Skip 1 stitch, dc, dc on the skipped stitch
Note:
You can increase/decrease the number of stitches or rows to adjust the size of the wristlet.
Wristlet Body
With the white yarn,
Row 1: Ch 36 or any number of stitches until a suitable length is reached,turn
Row 2: dc from the 4th stitch until end of row, turn,
Row 3 - 4: ch 3, dc until end of row, turn,
(Working in rounds now)
Rnd 5: ch 3, dc all around, making 2 stitches at each of the corners of the rectangle, ss, turn (to work in reverse direction for next round). Make sure the number of stitches for the whole round is even number.
Rnd 6: ch 3, dc all around, ss, turn,
Rnd 7: change to purple yarn, ch 3, cdc all around, ss, turn,
Rnd 8: change to white yarn, ch 1, sc all around, ss turn,
Rnd 9: change to purple yarn, ch 3, cdc all around, ss, turn,
Rnd 10: change to white yarn, ch 3, dc all around, ss, turn,
Rnd 11- 17: ch 3, dc all around, ss, turn,
(Working back in rows now for the flap)
Row 18: ch 3, dc until end of row, ss, turn,
Row 19: ch 3, cdc until end of row, ss, turn,
Row 20: ch 3, dc until end of row, ss, turn,
Row 21 - 26: repeat row 19 & 20 (in order)
(now making the row with the eye for the button)
Row 22: ch 3, cdc for 8 times (or cdc until around the middle of the row), dc, ch 2, skip 2 stitches (or any number to fit the size of your button), dc, cdc until end of row, ss, turn,
Row 23: ch 3, dc until end of row, ss
With purple yarn,
sc, ch1 in all stitches around the border of the flap and the opening of the wristlet
Crochet Button
With purple yarn,
Rnd 1: 6sc into magic ring
Rnd 2: sc inc x 6 times
Rnd 3: (sc inc, sc) x 6 times
Compare the circle to your button, it should cover the button, if not increase the circle (by adding 1 more sc with each sc inc for each round)
Rnd 4: (sc dec, sc) x 6 times (Note: the number of sc along with each sc dec should match those with the sc inc in reverse order)
Put in the button,
Rnd 5: (sc dec) x 6 times
Fasten off and sew the hole close

Strap
Row 1: Ch until a desired length and join ends to make a circle
Rnd 2: sc all around, ss, turn
Rnd 3: change to purple yarn, ch 1, sc all around, ss, turn
Sew button to wristlet
You can also choose to sew a lining inside the wristlet
