Easter Chick Crochet Pattern

You will be using the following crochet techniques in this pattern:
- sc - single crochet
- sc inc - single crochet increase
- sc dec - single crochet decrease
- ch - chain
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- dc inc - double crochet increase
- ss - slip stitch
As a guide, using fingering yarn with 2.5mm hook will produce a easter chick of about 6.5cm/2.6in tall and 6cm/ 2.4in wide. Using a thicker yarn with a bigger hook will produce a bigger chick and a thinner yarn and smaller hook will produce a smaller one.
You will need to use the following materials for making the chick:
- Yellow yarn
- White yarn
- Orange yarn
- Baby blue yarn
- Pink yarn
- Safety Eyes 6mm x2 (use a bigger size if using a thicker yarn)
- Crochet Hook 2.5mm (or a size suitable for your yarn)
- Felting needle + pink felting wool OR pink felt and glue
- Yarn needle
