Monkey Amigurumi Pattern

Learn to crochet your own little cheeky monkey to accompany you wherever you go!

This monkey amigurumi pattern only uses basic crochet stitches and is suitable for beginners who some crochet experience. It also comes with extra instructions teaching you how to use wires to make poseable hands, legs and tail. With a poseable tail, you can decorate your house with an upside down monkey by hanging it on your door handle, shelves and window grills! As with all Snacksies amigurumi patterns, this pattern is detailedly written in US crochet terminology. It is 15 pages long and has 36 photos, with a lot of step-by-step photos to ensure you can follow along easily. You will also receive a needle felting guide for the cheeks.

You will be using the following techniques in this pattern:

• sc - single crochet
• sc inc - single crochet increase
• sc dec - single crochet decrease
• ch - chain
• hdc - half double crochet
• sc3tog - single crochet 3 stitches together
• ss - slip stitch

As a reference, using fingering yarn with a 2.5mm hook will produce a monkey of about 10cm/3.9in tall (sitting down and including banana) and 7.5cm/3in wide. Using a thicker yarn and bigger hook will produce a bigger monkey and using a thinner yarn and smaller hook will produce a smaller one.

• Light Brown yarn
• Beige yarn
• Yellow yarn
• Red yarn
• Black embroidery thread
• White embroidery thread
• Stuffing
• Crochet Hook 2.5mm (or a hook size suitable for your yarn)
• Felting needle + pink felting wool OR pink felt and glue
• Yarn needle
• Wire (optional, for making poseable limbs and tail)
• Wire cutter (if using wire)
• Pliers (if using wire)
